The Importance of Business Credit Cards

By Joseph Kenny Business credit cards have become indispensable to the corporate world today. These credit cards eliminate the risks attached with carrying cash and make purchasing easier at crucial times. Business credit cards prove to be a boon to the business management teams in most establishments. These business credit cards enable both, the employee as well as the management to maintain a record of their individual personal and business related expenses. The main objective of investing in a business credit card is to be able to take care of any business related expenditure in the absence or lack of insufficient funds. This is more important when the purchase of business supplies at a particular time affect the set business target. Most credit card companies make attractive offers to their customers to entice them into making investments with the financial institution. In addition to this, most of the companies, apart from relinquishing the annual fee for the first year, also award the corporate enterprises with points to avail valuable discounts on business- related purchases. Advantages of business credit cards: – Higher credit limits: Business credit cards carry higher credit limits of $50,000 or more, enabling expensive business purchases. This facility is generally not available on the personal credits card or liquid money. – Boost in credit rating: The wise and monitored handling of the business credit card and timely payment of bills on time can help to boost the business credit rating. Business suppliers report all monetary transactions to the credit bureaus. – Separate corporate credit: A business credit card saves you from the trouble of sorting out business expenses from your personal transactions. This makes the process of paying the annual income tax easier, since your personal credit rating would not reflect alongside the business transactions. – Controls employees expenses: A business credit card enables you to set limits on your expenses. The management team members who avail of and use the business credit card are aware of the responsibility entrusted to them and while targeting high company profits, the cards help them to check personal expenses. – Fringe benefits: The benefits offered on business credit cards are completely connected to the business and may include discounts on business travel and shopping at business supply outlets. – Business growth: A business credit card helps to promote the growth of the business by facilitating timely purchases to meet immediate business targets. Select the best business credit card: Financial institutions and several credit card companies attempt to popularize their cards by offering numerous benefits. It is very essential to research on the best available credit cards and the payment options available with each. In order to make comparisons, you could browse the different dedicated websites. There are many websites that list the different corporate credit cards available and their unique offers. The method of listing the data in a simple format allows you to scan the data, examine the information and finally make a choice. It proves to be very beneficial to access these sites and verify the information presented, before investing. These credit cards not only make business transactions convenient but also prove to be very helpful in building the credit score of the company. Bonsai Care – The Hawaiian Umbrella Tree

By Lee Dobbins Bonsai trees are dwarf trees that can be a fun and creative hobby. These miniature trees are grown in containers and training and nurturing them is an artistic endeavor that can be enjoyed by most anyone. One favorite type of bonsai is the Hawaiian umbrella tree. This tree has thick leaves that form a lush canopy. In spring it blooms with red flowers in a wonderful show of color. This bonsai is very hardy and adaptable, and therefore quite easy to maintain. You can propogate the Hawaiian umbrella tree through both cuttings and seeds. When starting out a plant, you should provide it with full sun so that it can grow a thick dense foliage. Once this is accomplished, you can bring it inside and put it in a sunny window or brightly lit spot. You may find that the tree tends to drop leaves after you move it indoors – dont be alarmed as this is just its way of getting used to the new environment. Once it is acclimated, it will grow its lush canopy of leaves again. While the umbrella tree does not need pinching or training like some other bonsai, it does need regular pruning as the shoots do sprout rapidly. While rather easy to maintain, you must keep a constant vigil against pests and disease. As with any bonsai, the soil quality for the Hawaiian umbrella tree is key to key to its successful growth. Plant in a mix of acidic and mildly alkaline soil for best results. Water is also important and your umbrella tree should be misted and watered about every other day. Dont let the soil dry out as this can have adverse affects on the health of your plant. On the other hand, you dont want to water it too much either! You should soak the soil and allow the water to drain – no standing water and do not let the soil become overly dry. If you see the leaves turning black, this is in indication that you are watering too much, if they tips turn up then you are not watering enough. Bonsai trees can last a very long time if properly cared for. Many people dont stop at one tree and you can collect and grow several different varieties for your own miniature garden. There are many groups devoted to this hobby where you can share your experience and learn from others. Although it is fun to share your hobby with others, always keep your umbrella tree away from children and pets because it can be poisonous! Healthy Kids Stay Hydrated!

By Diana Chaloux Did you know that your body is like the ocean? Thats right! The ocean covers about 70% of the surface of the earth, and approximately 70% of your body weight is made up of water! In order for your body to be at its best it needs to have plenty of water and stay hydrated (high-dray-ted). When you dont have enough water you get dehydrated (dee-high-dray-ted) and you can become very sick. Hydration (High-dray-shun) is very important for you to stay healthy, lets find out why. Water does a lot more than quench your thirst, it keeps you alive! Water is so essential to our bodies that we could not live more than a couple of days without it. Your body uses water to help with digestion (die-jest-shun), to keep your joints moving smoothly, to keep cool, to keep waste from building up in your body, and even to keep you skin, finger nails and hair in good condition. Dehydration is what happens when your body doesnt have enough water. If you are dehydrated you may feel thirsty, your skin may be dry, you may feel dizzy or tired, you may get a headache, and you wont be able to perform at your best mentally or physically. More serious complications of dehydration can occur when your body can no longer cool itself, including heat cramps, heat stroke or heat exhaustion. When you are out playing with your friends, especially on a hot day, you will probably start to sweat. Sweating is your bodys way of releasing heat, so it doesnt stay trapped under your skin. When you sweat your body also loses water, it is very important to replace that water as soon as possible. Aim to drink eight glasses of water per day, but keep in mind that this isnt the only way that your body stays hydrated! Your body takes water from the foods that you eat too. Foods that have a high amount of water include fruits and vegetables, milk, soup, pastas that are prepared, and meats such as fish or chicken. When you eat these foods on a regular basis they will help you stay healthy and hydrated. Should you wait until you are thirsty to have a drink? No! If you wait until you are very thirsty you are already dehydrated and may have lost approximately 1% of the water in your body! Water is the best choice to drink when you feel thirsty. If you choose a soda you actually cause your body to become more dehydrated, soda contains caffeine which acts as a diuretic (die-you-ret-ic) causing your body to lose even more water! Sometimes you need to drink more water than usual. If you are exercising or at practice for a sport, if it is very hot outside, if you are at a high altitude (like up in the mountains) and if you have a fever or are sick it is important to make an extra effort to keep your body hydrated. Here are some tips for staying hydrated throughout your day. First thing in the morning drink some water. Carry water with you throughout the d ay and choose water instead of sodas or fruit drinks. Stop by the water fountain in school regularly in between each class. When exercising drink water before, during and after your session. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Drink a glass of water with each meal and even keep some water next to your bed at night! You need water in order to live. You also need water to keep your body healthy and working properly! Healthy kids keep their bodies hydrated, so make sure you drink enough water each and every day! Diana Chaloux is the co-founder and owner of Destined 2 Be Fit (www.destined2befit.com). It’s All About the Calories and Exercising

By Dennis Watson Like most people when I was younger it seemed I could eat anything and not really ever gain weight. Well now that Im in my forties it appears that those undisciplined days are over for good. After doing a little research Ive come to the conclusion that my lack of activity and slowing metabolism is to blame. Wanting to lose some weight I went out to look for that magic weight loss plan that would offer a painless process for losing weight. After reading and trying several programs I realized that they all seemed to have the same common theme lower your caloric intake and get off your butt and do something If you need to lose some weight, I recommend that you pay close attention to what you eat during the day. Go ahead and count up all of those calories you take in and calculate how many minutes you exercise. It wont take very many days for you to figure out that you take in to many calories and dont exercise enough. Use the information below to help you figure out where you want or need to be. Calorie Requirements: Resting – Metabolic Rate represents the minimum energy needs of the body, for day and night with no exercise. Sedentary – Includes occupations that involve sitting most of the day. Light – Includes activities, which involve standing most of the day. Moderate – May include walking, gardening, and housework. Active – Includes an occupation that requires manual labor and/or participating in a daily exercise program. Daily calorie allowance: Men Resting 12 per lb. body weight Sedentary 16 per lb. body weight Light 18 per lb. body weight Moderate 21 per lb. body weight Active 26 per lb. body weight Example: I want to reach a weight of 180 lbs, to do so I plan on being moderately active, so my daily caloric intake should be 21 x 180 = 3780 calories per day. Women Resting 13 per lb. body weight Sedentary 14 per lb. body weight Light 16 per lb. body weight Moderate 18 per lb. body weight Active 22 per lb. body weight Example: If you want to reach a weight of 130 and maintain that weight and plan on being moderately active, then your caloric intake should be 18 x 130 = 2340 calories per day. Lastly, no matter what you decide to do go ahead and engage in regular physical activity and reduce sedentary activities to promote health. Good luck! Lose Inches Fast

By Dominic Ferrara In the quest to fit in a smaller jean size, many people search for ways to lose inches fast. Losing weight is tricky when you deal in inches because pounds dont always equal inches. You may lose ten pounds, but find that you have not lost anything inch-wise. This may leave you frustrated, but dont let this make you give up, because you are on the right track. It may not seem like it, but it takes time for your body to tone down the way it should. When you exercise on a quest to lose weight, you want to build muscle as you lose fat. When this happens, the tape might not show inches lost, even though you have lost five or ten pounds. Muscle should be replacing fat. You want to lose the inches, but if they dont seem to be leaving, you may be in better shape than you first thought. You may be able to lose inches fast, but they may reappear in the blink of an eye if you do it improperly. You can lose inches fast by getting rid of water weight, but this should only be done as a solution when you have an event coming up, and you need to fit into something fast, or perhaps you are getting portraits done and you want to look your very best. The truth about water weight loss is that it isnt real weight loss. You may lose inches fast, but it is not true fat loss. When you diet to lose more than a few pounds, you will find that there are times when you lose inches fast, and there are times when your waist seems to remain at the same number for weeks. Dont let this get to you, and keep going, so long as the pounds seem to be coming off. If you get stuck, and nothing seems to be happening, keep chipping away, and step up your physical efforts. Dont believe a lot of the ads that claim you can lose inches fast if you want to keep them off. Some of these products work, and others dont. Many times, these products can be dangerous. You may lose inches fast, but it may not be the best for your body. If you are trying a program to take inches off fast, and you begin to feel weak, faint, or have weird symptoms, stop what you are doing and call your doctor to be sure nothing is wrong with you. Georgia Lawyers

By Ross Bainbridge If you are looking for expert legal advice, you should definitely hire top notch lawyers to handle all your legal cases. This should not be hard in the State of Georgia after all, the state has produced such historical lawyer-icons like Martin Luther King, Ty Cobb and President Carter. Its strong community extends to its law schools, such as the Mercer School of Law. You might consider hiring Georgia lawyers for your specific legal needs. Their services include (but are not limited to) the following: review of legal documents and contracts, fixing credit problems and court appearances in legal cases such as those cases involving traffic tickets. A lot of Georgia lawyers specialize in just one area of the law. General practitioner lawyers can handle a wide range of legal matters. If your legal matter involves a specialized area such as workers compensation, personal injury, medical malpractice or car accidents, it is important for you to contract a specialist for your specific legal needs. If your concern is of a general legal matter, then you might contact a general practitioner. Before hiring a lawyer, make sure you ask which field of the law he or she specializes in. Georgia lawyers charge legal fees depending on the type of case you have and the amount of time the lawyer will spend on your case. You may choose from several types of paying schemes that include hourly flat charges and contingent fees. Hourly rates are calculated by multiplying the lawyers hourly rate with the number of hours he or she spends on your case. Contingent fees are payments whereby lawyers receive a pre-approved percentage of the amount you may receive if you win the case. A fixed rate places a ceiling on the legal fees a lawyer may charge. Lawyers normally calculate their legal fees without including court costs and filing fees that you, as the client, need to pay at once. Always ask for a detailed explanation of a lawyers fees and payment modes before you even hire him or her. The fees charged by Georgia lawyers are based on the agreed amount that you are both comfortable with. There are no fee schedules recommended since payment varies from lawyer to lawyer. Signs of a Cheating Spouse…and How They Differ from Signs of Infidelity

By Dr. Robert Huizenga Cheating is different from infidelity? Yes, I believe so. Signs of a cheating spouse will be different from signs of infidelity. In talking to thousands of people embroiled with a cheating spouse or infidelity over the past two plus decades, I’ve noticed a difference. In our society the word cheating carries different meaning than infidelity. This is important for someone discerning the signs of a cheating spouse or the signs of infidelity. A person who “cheats” is different from someone who is involved in “infidelity.” Cheating is most closely described in my e-book as someone who “Doesn’t Want to Say No.” This is only one of 7 kinds of affairs. The other six kinds of affairs lean more in the direction of infidelity. The true cheater is a rather rare bird, but is probably most glamorized and comes closest to our stereotype of cheating or infidelity. Infidelity, in general, is marked by confusion, pain, doubt, ambivalence and a period of craziness in a person’s life. Cheating is an ongoing lifestyle. Here are some signs of a cheating spouse: (substitute the word she for he, if you like.) 1. There most likely will be more than one other person. He sees affairs as conquests, usually sexual, and not as a place to find intimacy. Actually he lacks many of the tools and the mind set to have intimate relationships. He most likely will move from one conquest to another. His gratification on a basic level remains primary. 2. He will have little internal conflict about the affair. This differs markedly from the person who can’t say no. Your spouse will view the affair or affairs as entitlement. He deserves them. He deserves to be adored. He deserves to have excitement and personal gratification in his life. He has earned it. There is nothing wrong with this. Actually others, perhaps you included, ought to understand this! 3. He will operate in a world that supports his illusion and behavior. He will surround himself with those who look the other way or actually encourage his philandering behavior. You will probably not find yourself welcomed in this world. He and his colleagues and friends collude to maintain their world. 4. You might run into a problem with the other person or persons. Remember the movie, Fatal Attraction? The other person might attach herself to him with specific expectations to be cared for and perhaps married – perhaps part of his strategy in his conquest efforts. When she is “dumped” or the expectations fail to materialize she may pursue revenge. You might be involved. 5. You may not experience a great deal of conflict with him. There is no talk of divorce. Your life might be quite copasetic – unless you rock the boat. He has his playtime and you fill another specific role of quiet support. Keep the balance and life moves along fairly seamlessly. 6. There is one problem, however. The problem of aging. Depending on his social context, you might become a liability as you increasingly fail to project a young attractive vibrant image. He wants those around him to reflect back beauty and perfection. If you fail in this regard you may be cast aside. Part of this depends on the financial cost of such “trade-in.” 7. His fragile, illusionary world and yours may crumble if he encounters failure. Failure is his “Achilles heel.” Unfortunately, the distortion and illusion he lives under do not always coincide with reality. He pushes and bends the rules to his advantage. He may not pay close attention to the consequences of his behavior. Those consequences – legal, financial or health – may bite him at some point. He most likely will count on you to be there for him, to cry on your shoulder (perhaps literally) and help him regain his confidence. Dr. Robert Huizenga, The Infidelity Coach, has helped hundreds of couples over the past two decades heal from the agony of extramarital affairs and survive infidelity. MRSA and Essential Oils – their Role in the Fight Against MRSA?

By Dr Gillian Hale Aromatherapy the therapeutic use of essential oils (highly concentrated natural plant products) has been used traditionally to help combat many disorders, ranging from mild skin complaints (e.g. insect bites, mild burns) to more complex conditions such hypertension as stress. Evidence for the efficacy of essential oils in these conditions has, however, tended to be largely anecdotal, but medical research is now beginning to show that some essential oils may indeed have properties that could be useful medically. Recent studies suggest that one area in which essential oils could possibly have a role is in the fight against MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). MRSA – Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is a bacterium that can be found as part of the normal flora of bacteria on some peoples skin and in their noses, where it seems to cause no major problems. However, if it gets inside the body, for instance under the skin or into the lungs, it can cause infections. Such infections are usually treated using antibiotics. MRSA, however, is a type of S. aureus that has become resistant to antibiotics, and can therefore give rise to infections that are much harder to treat. MRSA appears to be spread mainly through direct, skin-to-skin contact, largely by healthcare workers failing to clean their hands effectively before and after contact with an MRSA-positive patient and/or the contaminated environment. Therefore, one of the priorities for preventing the spread of the organism is improved hygiene. One study has shown that something as simple as hand-washing with an alcohol-based disinfectant among carers can effectively reduce the spread of MRSA.(1) Those infected with MRSA can also take hygiene precautions to reduce their risk of spreading the infection, such as daily baths or showers with an antiseptic body wash, use of a disinfectant dusting powder after bathing and drying, and washing hair twice weekly with an antiseptic shampoo. As MRSA can live in the nose, nasal ointments containing the antibiotic, mupirocin, are also available. However, some strains of MRSA now appear to have developed resistance to this agent. Despite improvements in hygiene, however, MRSA continues to pose a threat to patients in hospital and in the community (particularly those who are already ill, the elderly and those in long-term care), and new ways are constantly being sought to reduce the spread of MRSA. A number of recent studies appear to suggest that certain essential oils may be effective in preventing the spread of the organism. In a recent report, researchers at the University of Manchester found that the use of three essential oils killed MRSA rapidly and effectively in the laboratory.(2) The oils were also effective against other infectious agents commonly found in hospitals, including E. coli (Escherichia coli). The researchers suggest that the oils could be blended into soaps, handwashes and shampoos, which could be used in hospital hygiene regimens to prevent the spread of such infections. Funding for further research is now being sought. Although the essential oils identified in this study (2) have not yet been named, other research has been published which identifies a number of essential oils that may be effective against MRSA. Tea tree essential oil, in particular, appears a promising candidate, either alone or in combination with other essential oils. Two controlled studies have shown that use of tea tree oil in nasal ointments, body washes and creams was as effective as routine care in the elimination of MRSA.(3,4) In another study, combinations of patchouli, tea tree, geranium, lavender essential oils and grapefruit seed extract were found to be effective against MRSA,(5) and the same group of researchers have also developed a blend of essential oils, which includes tea tree oil, encased in a shell of dead yeast cells, which attacks and kills MRSA. Clinical trials of this new treatment, which can be included in wound dressings, are about to start on 40 burns patients who have been diagnosed as having MRSA on their skin.(6) Lavender is another essential oil that has been shown to have efficacy against MRSA.(7) Activity was also shown against another bacterium that is resistant to antibiotics vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium.(7) Bacterial resistance to antibiotics is a growing medical problem, fuelled by years of overuse and misuse of these agents by healthcare providers. Alternative interventions with proven efficacy that would enable the use of antibiotics to be reduced can only be regarded positively. These studies suggesting a role for essential oils in the fight against MRSA are still under investigation, but results to date are promising. Further developments are eagerly awaited. Relationship – Men Also Get Abused By Women

By CD Mohatta Emotional and physical abuse is believed to be only for women. Men are the abusers and women the victims. Don’t women abuse men? Yes they do get abused and mercilessly. A woman can be brutal when it comes to blames and accusations. She can invent many lies and kill the soul of the man with every sentence she speaks. She may not abuse the man physically, but her emotional abuse may be enough to drive a man to lunacy. I don’t know why the abuse is considered to be prerogative of men? Is it because they are considered the stronger sex? What about emotional strength? Some men are very soft and especially when they deal with a woman, they act more softly. The woman wants to abuse the man will have no such compunctions. She can raise her voice, she can use crying, she can corner the man with all her blames because she wants to hurt him. She succeeds because a good man will not retaliate. There is no help for men who get emotionally abused by women. They don’t want to hurt the woman so they keep taking all the abuse. Let me add something here. Women on who their men have greatest faith do most abuse. So when the woman turns a abuser, the first reaction of the man is total disbelief. This surprise continues for a long time, because the man continues foolishly believing that her woman is getting it wrong. She is not abusing him. She cannot do that because she loves him. This thinking process is very dangerous. Evil recognizes no sexual difference. If a man can be evil, so can be a woman.
